About Us

Baker Barnes Associates, Inc. was founded in November 1997 after the principals served various clients and industries in their individual consulting. This combine brings a wide variety of experience, background, education, qualifications, and interests together for the benefit of our clients.

Bobby D. Barnes (pictured, left), is a gregarious, entertaining, professional, to-the-point, practical, global, consultant and trainer. His career spans a period of almost 40 years. For the past 10 years his work has focused on the application of project management processes to new product development; delivering training and consulting around the world. Key long-term clients come from a range of industries: pharmaceuticals, bio-technology, information technology, utilities, and manufacturing and have been in the United States, Sweden, France, Germany, and India. He is the author of the widely acclaimed and often requested white paper, "Preventing, Recovering, and Managing Troubled Projects". His style in both training and consulting can best be described as a unique blend of curiosity and encouragement. Dr. Bob as he is called, has a PhD in Materials Engineering, holds a PE in Mechanical Engineering, and is certified as PMP by the Project Management Institute and a Six Sigma Black Belt by the American Society of Quality.

AC Fred Baker (pictured, right), also has almost 40 years of professional experience. This experience covers the application of project management in a leadership position on small and extremely large projects alike. He has focused his consulting practice on adding value to client organizations by delivering true benefit to the enterprise in the project, program, and portfolio management processes established. This application of project management processes to new product development; delivering training and consulting around the world has included clients coming from a range of industries: pharmaceuticals and medical devices, information technology, and electric and gas utilities, and has been in the United States, Mexico, Germany, Trinidad-Tobago, Norway and England. Coaching, mentoring, facilitating as his forte in order to develop the skills and capabilities within the client organization for endearing improvements in results delivered by their project teams. Fred has also focused on training project, program, and portfolio management skills and processes to a wide-variety of industries over the last 10 years. He holds an MBA, and is certified as a PMP and a RMP by the Project Management Institute.

Since creating BBA/Synchronous Project Delivery, they have collectively delivered project, program, and portfolio management training and consulting at over 200 venues, to well over 12,000 individuals, around the world.
